These stories tease, ripple and roar through a cataract of surrealistic
images using timeless legends and classic poetry from Arthur to
Coleridge, through Westerns to fairy tales, traversing whole worlds
within this slim volume
The themes are as divergent as re-unions with cheating mistresses,
dancing gypsies and smiling poisoners, talking frogs and witches
headed for the eye of the moon. The seamless transitions from the
real to the imaginary and the could-so-easily have happened makes
this a compelling page turner. |
