Commissioned into the Eighth Gorkhas of the Indian Army in 1962, Major General (Retired) ‘Shubhi’ Sood commanded ‘FUSAITE’ Gorkha Rifles. Having attended various important courses like Staff College, Higher Command and National Defense College where he was also an instructor, he went on to command 26 Infantry Division in Jammu and Kashmir. He took retirement in 1998. He has contributed extensively to journals on matters Military and Strategic.
