Shobha Nihalani grew up in culturally diverse cities from Kano and Singapore to Mumbai and Antwerp, and then lived in Rochester, Minnesota. She has a degree in business and is a freelance journalist, copywriter. Her short stories have appeared in Haunting Tales of Hong Kong, Sweat and the City, HK Whodunnits, and IMPRINT (the annual anthology of the Hong Kong Women in Publishing Society). her debut novel Karmic Blues was published in Danish (Kærlighedens blå safir, EC-Edition Denmark - 2008). The Silent Monument, her second novel will be published this year. Shobha lives in Hong Kong with her husband and children.
