Neelam Bhatia falls in love with Anishk Narain at one of her friend's wedding function which she attends with her parents and brother.
The new emotions awaken memories from a past life and Neelam dreams of palaces, deserts, and royal families of the Rajput era.
After a visit to India to inter his father's ashes in the River Ganges, Anishk realizes that he wants to give up his law practice to become a sadhu. He returns to Hong Kong and tells Neelam about his decision. She is devastated and tries to change his mind. Anishk speaks of loving and letting go, but Neelam cannot forget him. He travels to India to follow the path of spirituality.
Neelam's recurrent dreams become intensely emotional and vivid. Her parents arrange her marriage with Rajat Sippy who manages his father's jewellery business. He lives in Mumbai with his parents and sister. Neelam's parents insist that she must move on in life. Hoping that marriage would help her get over Anishk, Neelam reluctantly agrees. They travel to India, and Neelam marries Rajat. |
